How Big of a Tire Can I Run?
The TORQ 3" Lift Kit gives the 4th Gen Tacoma additional clearance for larger tire setups. Wheel width and offset are just as important as tire size, so use the following as a practical starting point.

THE EASY ANSWER
Want a larger tire without pushing fitment to the limit?
285/75R17 is an excellent match for the TORQ 3" lift, providing approximately a 34" tire with less width than a traditional 35x12.50.
Want the full 35" look?
35x12.50R17 and 315/70R17 are realistic targets with the right wheel setup. Tire brand, wheel width, offset, alignment and individual vehicle clearance can affect final fitment, and minor plastic trimming or mud-flap work may be required.
WHEEL OFFSET MATTERS
For 35" tire setups, we recommend starting with a 17x8 to 17x8.5 wheel in approximately the +12mm to +25mm offset range.
Moving toward 0mm or negative offset pushes the tire farther outward. While that can create a more aggressive appearance, it can also increase rubbing and the amount of clearance work required.
For the cleanest fitment, don't choose tire size without considering wheel width and offset together.

Designed for a straightforward installation without disassembling the factory coilover assembly. The front lift components install without requiring a spring compressor, eliminating one of the more involved steps found with many suspension lift installations.

Common Tacoma Fitment Questions
Does this change ride quality?
Because the TORQ 3" Lift Kit retains your factory shocks and springs, it also retains the basic spring and damping characteristics of the factory suspension. You get the additional height and stance without replacing the suspension components that determine much of your Tacoma's factory ride quality.
Will I need an alignment?
Yes. We recommend a professional alignment after installation. Any time front ride height is changed, alignment should be checked and corrected to help maintain proper handling and tire wear.
Can I run 35" tires?
Yes, 35" tires are a realistic target with the TORQ 3" Lift Kit when paired with the appropriate wheel width and offset. Tire manufacturer, wheel specifications, alignment and vehicle configuration can affect clearance, and minor clearance modifications may be required.
What wheel offset do you recommend for 35s?
For many 35" setups, a 17x8 to 17x8.5 wheel with approximately +12mm to +25mm offset provides a strong starting point. More aggressive offsets push the tire farther outward and can increase rubbing
Is 285/75R17 a good option?
Yes. At approximately 34" tall, 285/75R17 is one of our favorite combinations with the TORQ 3" Lift Kit. It provides a noticeably larger tire without the additional width of a 35x12.50.
Will this fit my Tacoma TRD Pro?
No. This 3" kit is designed for non-TRD Pro 4th Gen Tacomas. TRD Pro models use a different factory suspension package. TORQ offers a dedicated 2" TRD Pro Lift Kit designed around the factory TRD Pro suspension.
