The Difference Two Inches Makes

The factory TX sits relatively low beneath a large three-row body. Adding approximately two inches of front ride height creates more visual separation between the body and ground while allowing a fuller tire profile to fill the wheel openings.

Wheel width, wheel offset and actual tire dimensions all affect final clearance and appearance.

Rather than making a blanket “32-inch tire fits” claim, we prefer to show combinations that have actually been used.

The more aggressive +27 offset created a flush appearance but required minor front fender-liner adjustment.

That distinction is important.

Moving the wheel farther outward can dramatically change both appearance and clearance.

OUR STARTING POINT

For a clean street-oriented TX build using a 20×9 wheel, approximately +30 to +35mm is a very good range to investigate.

Final clearance depends on the specific wheel, actual tire dimensions, vehicle trim and alignment.

Will It Still Drive Like a Lexus?

That's usually the first question.

And it's exactly why TORQ uses the factory shocks and springs.

Instead of replacing the suspension with a radically different system, the TORQ lift changes ride height while retaining the original Lexus spring and damper package.

That helps retain much of the ride character the TX was designed around.

As with any suspension modification, increasing vehicle height can change handling characteristics. We recommend professional installation, proper alignment and responsible driving appropriate for the modified vehicle.

But this was never designed to transform the TX into a different kind of vehicle.

The goal is simple:

Lift the Lexus. Don't take the Lexus out of it.

Installation Done Right

The TORQ TX system is a bolt-on installation that does not require cutting or welding to the vehicle.

Because the TX is a sophisticated modern Lexus, we recommend installation by an experienced professional.

AFTER INSTALLATION

A professional wheel alignment is required.

Headlight aim should be checked.

Vehicles equipped with camera-, radar- or sonar-based driver-assistance systems should be inspected according to the applicable Lexus service procedures to determine whether recalibration is required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the lift ruin the Lexus ride?

The TORQ kit retains the factory shocks and springs rather than replacing them with a different suspension package. It was designed around maintaining the refined character of the TX while increasing ride height.

Any suspension modification can affect vehicle dynamics, which is why proper installation and alignment are important.

Does the kit fit hybrid models?

The current TX-001 application is for 2024+ Lexus TX FWD, AWD and hybrid applications.

Can I keep my factory wheels?

Yes.

Factory wheels can be retained. An aftermarket wheel-and-tire package is not required to use the lift.

Many owners choose a different wheel and larger tire because it takes fuller advantage of the new stance.

What tire size should I run?

One of the best real-world combinations we've seen is:

275/55R20 on a 20×9 +35mm wheel.

Wheel offset matters just as much as tire diameter, so we recommend choosing the wheel and tire together rather than selecting tire diameter alone.

Will 275/55R20 fit?

It has been successfully used on multiple lifted TX builds.

A 20×9 +35mm setup has been reported by a TORQ customer with excellent fitment.

A more aggressive 20×9 +27mm installation also worked but required minor front fender-liner adjustment.

Individual tires vary slightly in actual dimensions, so always verify final clearance.

Does the kit require new shocks?

No.

The lift is designed to work with the factory shocks and springs.

Does installation require cutting or welding?

No cutting or welding to the vehicle is required for standard installation.

Do I need an alignment?

Yes.

A professional wheel alignment should be performed after installation. Headlight aim should also be checked.

What about the vehicle's cameras and safety systems?

Modern Lexus vehicles use sophisticated camera-, radar- and sonar-based driver-assistance systems.

After modifying ride height, consult the applicable Lexus service procedures or a qualified Lexus technician to determine whether any system inspection or recalibration is required.

Will installing an aftermarket lift automatically void my entire Lexus warranty?

Using an aftermarket component does not, by itself, automatically void the entire vehicle warranty.

Warranty coverage can, however, be denied for a repair if damage is determined to have been caused by the aftermarket component or its installation.

Warranty decisions ultimately rest with the vehicle manufacturer or servicing dealer.

For that reason, TORQ recommends quality professional installation and keeping documentation of the installation and post-install alignment.

How long does installation take?

Plan on approximately four hours, not including the alignment.

Actual installation time will vary by technician and equipment.
